Lest we forget

Funeral Blues

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

With Matt our squad leader and comrade in arms departing to the wilds of Asia.
Possibly never to be seen again, we wish you all the best.

Should the worst happen, the mafia kidnap you and demand a ransom.
Start to worry as our phones will fall silent.

Your golden locks will be your savior.
For in the bars of Serenban they are in favour.

All the best

First Love

Not even two but Charlie Cole already has an eye for the ladies.

Be careful son. Next stop will be marriage, kids, alcohol addiction, middle age spread, watching dancing on ice & family fortunes, quiet nights in, slippers, line dancing, mowing the lawn, a half rather than a pint, soft toffees, receding hairline, grey hairs, just for men, dentchures, death.

Am I too cynical?

G36C failed paint job

Hi

I started of with every intention of creating a unique paint job for my G36. However what I created I think was a sub par result.

Now I am not saying that it was a waste of time. What ever you do in life is always a learning curve and if I had not attempted this first I would not have ended up with the finish that I eventually achieved

My G36C

Ok

After lots of dithering I have had a second crack at the paint job for my G36C with what I think is a great improvement.

The colours are more suttle and I have done away with the brown stock. All in all it has a more natural feel to it and blends in well with the environment.

Next job will be my H&K 416 with an urban theme so watch this space.
